Double Bass / Ming-Hui Chien

Chien Minhui has been playing the double bass since her childhood and was mentored by Mr. Chen Shibin, Mr. Wu Zheng and Mr. Zhou Chunxiang. For her bachelor’s degree, she was admitted first place to both the National Taiwan Normal University Music Department and the Taipei National University of the Arts. She graduated from the National Taiwan Normal University Music Department with a double bass major.

In 2019, she was drafted through the WCMP Ensemble Academy Workshop as a double bass member. After completing the full training, she is now a double bass player at the Weiwuying Contemporary Music Ensemble.

She was invited as a young new artist of NewArt Inc. and had her solo recital at the Kaohsiung Cultural Center. In addition, she was also invited by the Counterpoint Ensemble to the Hall Salon Recital at the Pingtung Performing Arts Center.

Since graduation, she has been a double bass player at several major orchestras such as the Baroque Camerata ,Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, Kaohsiung Chinese Orchestra, performing in concert halls all over Taiwan.

In addition to being a music performer, she is also a committed music educator and was appointed as a jury for the Southern District Senior High School Joint Music Class Admissions.
