Violin / Wan-Chen Chen

Wan-Chen Chen, a violinist, was born in Chiayi City in 1997. In 2020, she completed the 7-year course of Tainan National University of the Arts’s Music Department, and obtained her Bachelor's degree. In the same academic year, she qualified as a pre-graduate for the Master’s program and later earned her Master's degree in music from Tainan National University of the Arts (TNNUA) in 2021.

Wan-Chen learned violin from Yu-Chih Chou, Hui-Chun Lin, Shu-Wen Hsu, Yu-Hui Wu, and Shih-Pin Ting. During the period of study, she received guidance from the following violists: Andrej Bielow, Christophe Boulier, Vladimir Klochko, James Buswell, Zhen Xu, Keng-Yuen Tseng, and Pei-Yin Hsieh. She also received chamber music guidance from the following musicians: Vincent Coq, Han Wu, David Finckel, Ray-Chou Chang, Thomas Linde, Meng-Chieh Liu, and Nai-Yuan Hu.

From 2016 to 2019, Wan-Chen was selected as the "Rising Star" in TNNUA, and she got the opportunity to perform at the National Taichung Theater and the National Recital Hall in Taipei. In 2017, she won the 2nd place in the Youth Group of "The 12th Violin Competition Academy of Taiwan Strings" and was invited to perform solo and concerto concerts with Academy of Taiwan Strings (ATS) at the National Recital Hall and the National Concert Hall. In December of the same year, she gave her first recital in TNNUA. In 2019, she had a joint concert with Song-Yuan Wang, followed by her university graduation concert in March 2020, and she completed her Master's graduation concert in May 2021.
